From Daddy: Our new favorite podcast is Wow in the World. It’s cute, fun, makes him laugh often, and teaches him science. #trypod. We recently listened to the episode “Cuckoo For Cocoa: Journey To The Chocolate Forests Of South America.”

From Daddy: Two weeks ago was our only full day in Fairbanks.
In the morning, we took the bus to the Cookie Jar Restaurant for breakfast.
It was a very warm day. When we got to Pioneer Park, we needed ice to cool down.
He also trained for American Ninja Warrior at a playground in the park (click below or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwPeFuONJdM:
Later for dinner, we enjoyed barbeque.
But the highlight was the Ice Museum!
He slid down in a sled on an ice ramp (click below or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrezMSJrC7k!
The Ice Museum was such a relief because it was so hot outside!
From Daddy: It was just two weeks ago when we began our journey to Alaska!
Using our Lyft app, we pre-scheduled a ride to the airport to arrive between 4:30 and 4:40 a.m. Actually, the prospective driver called at 4:27 a.m. to report that he was 10 miles away and that it would likely be better if I cancel the ride and request a new one. The driver did the right thing, even though it cost him money, because a new driver arrived by 4:40.
Our flight to Seattle was scheduled for 6:20.
Our connecting flight to Fairbanks was scheduled for 11:15.

A number of travelers assembled at baggage claim in Fairbanks…
…and a bus shuttled us to Westmark Hotel where the room was nice but the WiFi was horrible. Fortunately, our phone service was just fine.
We had dinner at Soapy Smith’s Pioneer Restaurant where the server was great but the food was so-so.
Mommy recorded there the adorable video that was posted yesterday.
We then walked to and enjoyed a visit to The Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center and watched much of a documentary on the Northern Lights.
We returned to the hotel to rest, but it was crazy sunny and warm around 8 p.m.!
The sun would not go down for a while.
It wouldn’t cool off much overnight since the sun was down for only about two and a half hours.
We would spend the next day in Fairbanks.
From Daddy: On our first day in Fairbanks, we had dinner at Soapy Smith’s Pioneer Restaurant where mommy took the video above.
From Daddy: We’re back!
Our last port of call was Vancouver where we spent one night.
We never want to fly out of Vancouver ever again!
