From Daddy: We enjoyed a free day at the California Academy of Sciences! The museum has free admission once per quarter.
The highlight was a live planetarium show called Tour of the Universe. We were told that this show (which ran every half-hour pretty much all day) is only shown on free day and there was even mention of the theorized Planet Nine.
Also, I enjoyed seeing a very read uromastyx lizard, which was shown as part of the Animal Color Encounters program. For fifteen minutes, the presenters taught kids about how animals use colors and talked about this lizard whose flat stomach can puff up so that a predator would be unable to extract it from between rocks.

I told him not to the climb the fence at his school’s field trip to the Symphony on Wednesday but that he could do so at the playground. Mommy took the photo.
