From Daddy: I love these photos from the school garden today!
When we arrived at school, as usual, I signed him in while he was to park his backpack on the appropriate bench. I heard his backpack fall to the floor from the bench. He was gone. By the time I signed him in, I lost track of him. Finally, I found him in line, outside, probably 150 feet from his backpack, eagerly awaiting his turn at the handball game that we witnessed on the walk into school.
When time was up, he did not complain about not getting a turn. Click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWBBLGQYLlE to see him take it in (running) stride.
I reminded him that I was borrowing [the bus company was renting for me] a car while the new car (which he loves) was being fixed. He astutely asked, “Why do they have to fix the car when it’s new?”
“That’s a very good question,” I said. “Remember a couple of weeks ago when we were returning from La Petite Baleen at a bus gently hit my car?”
“Oh yeahhhhh,” he said. “It was a rainbow bus.”
The car was repaired yesterday. My rental car was a silver Hyundai Elantra (sadly, without Bluetooth).
