From Daddy: Robert’s last day of school was June 5, and last week Robert told Mommy that he didn’t like his school-less summer vacation, so now he has joined Summer Camp for two or three days a week. He likes it very much! Today, he reunited with his BFF Hadley and they built a long train track that was–in his opinion–“Awesome!”
Robert hadn’t seen Hadley for a little over a week since Hadley’s birthday party. On the morning on that party, Robert told me, “I love Hadley so much,” and he told me what a good friend Hadley is.
The Refrigerator Store
Last Saturday, while Robert and I were getting a smoothie (or as he calls it, a “smoovie”), Yeah-Yeah called me to ask me to buy a refrigerator for him at Lowe’s. After our “smoovie,” Robert and I bought drove there.
As soon as I exited the freeway, Robert recognized the neighborhood and told me that he wanted to go to The Golf Mart. I told him, “If we go to the refrigerator store and you are a GOOD BOY, then we can go to Golf Mart.” I repeated, “If we go to the refrigerator store and you are a GOOD BOY, then we can go to Golf Mart. Do you understand me?” I reiterated, “If we go to the refrigerator store and you are…”
And he completed my sentence, “PATIENT.”
Close enough, I thought.
And, yes, afterward, we played at Golf Mart.

Nothing Terry Pork
One of Robert’s favorite toys in the past few weeks has been the Hawaiian Vacation Talking Buzz Lightyear previously given to him by Uncle Albert. At some point, Robert removed the Hawaiian clothing and told mommy that Buzz was no longer from Hawaii!
Buzz talks and Robert’s favorite quotations have been, “Halt! Who goes there!” (which Robert insists is “Hat! Who goes there!”) and “All’s quiet. Nothing to report.” (or, as Robert says, “Nothing Terry Pork!”)
In the past few weeks, Robert has rediscovered his cookie-shaped toys and his toy kitchen. One morning he offered me light colored star-shaped while he had dark square cookies. He said that my cookies were chocolate with peanuts while his were chocolate with no peanuts.
Later, he asked me, “Daddy, what do I have to do so that I can eat peanuts?” It was so sad! He wanted to know what he needed to accomplish so that he was no longer allergic to peanuts! I told him that I didn’t know but I that I was proud of him for knowing that he can’t eat peanuts. Congratulations to Goo-Goo’s!
Adrienne Goo-Goo graduated Sunday! Yay! That makes two graduated Goo-Goo’s in a row!
Mommy, Robert, and I went to Party City to get decorations for Adrienne Goo-Goo’s dinner party. Robert was so happy there, skipping and bobbing down the aisle until he found a hula-hoop!
