From Brian: As part of Mommy’s Mother’s Day celebration, Mommy chose today to take the day off.
Robert and I left the house at 10:45 a.m. to take a walk down to Irving Street. After we began our walk, Mommy was able to leave the house without Robert and without his complaint.
Robert and I walked down to Irving Street together. We had a bite to eat and explored. On the way home, he spent extra time picking daisies and exploring a rock garden.
He and I sat at the edge of the rock garden together and chatted. We had a lot of fun. The walk lasted over an hour.

After we returned homeand after his cries of protestwe both fell briefly asleep on the couch in the living room. Then I woke up and bring him to the bed where he napped for nearly two hours.
When Robert woke, we got dressed joined Peter’s fifth birthday party in progress about a half an hour late.

After playtime, we all moved into the party room where we waited for cake to blown out, carved up, and dished out. Robert looked skyward obsessively, watching the stray balloons from parties passed.
Eventually cake was served and Robert enjoyed his!
After cake, everyone moved into the game arcade. By now, Robert was overwhelmed with the kids (all bigger than he) and the machines (ditto).
He did, however, enjoy sitting at the water pistol game, though not when the water sprayed. We played this game a few times. After the first time, however, Robert abandoned the seat. We always gave the resulting prize tickets to Robert’s “opponent.”
Robert also liked to sit at this racing game. It was out of order, so it was perfect for him.
Robert didn’t want to leave until I convince him that we were meeting his Mommy. We later met her for family dinner at a pub. She was happy to see him after her “day off.”
UPDATE: I updated this post the videos on May 24, 2010.
