A, B, C, & D Is for Drum

From Brian: This is has been a very nice weekend. Everyone got extra sleep and Robert had lots of fun.

On most mornings—especially on weekends—Mommy and Daddy alternate caring for Robert until the later morning when all of us are awake. During my morning shift yesterday, Robert enjoyed playing on his “drum.”

The drum is a Halloween-theme tin container that Robert’s had for a while. Only very recent has he discovered its musical qualities! (By the way, in the movie above, he says, “Moon!” in reference to the crescent moon picture on the trim of the can.) As you can see below, he—as most children do—has learned what digital cameras can do and he wants to see the images just captured!

So I tried again to capture his drumming, but he didn’t cooperate.

The alphabet mat (along with his foam bath letters, recall https://beanieblog.wordpress.com/2010/01/09/r-is-for-robert and https://beanieblog.wordpress.com/2010/02/06/beanie-brought-to-you-by-the-letter-o) are greatly responsible for inspiring Robert to learn letters and numbers.

By the way, we’ve had the alphabet mat since January. Thank you to Uncle Al for getting us the Toys R Us gift card that we used to buy it! Below are some photos from Robert having fun at Toys R Us a couple of weeks ago:

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street...using the carpool lane?
