From Brian: Mommy had the opportunity to have a dinner with Auntie Alison without having to care for Robert. So I took Robert out to dinner–just the two of us. Robert had a pretty good time at dinner, as you can see in the photo below.
Robert was so cute at dinner that I had to snap a few pictures. Of course, he began to tire of my usual picture-taking…
Yes, he did spend a bit of time eating…

Until the inevitable game of peak-a-boo…
From Brian: The usual seating configuration during dinner in the dining room at Yeah-Yeah and Ngen-Ngen’s is that Robert and Christopher Ga-Ga face each other during dinner. Inevitably, one of them will provoke the other and they degenerate into laughing and/or squealing at each other.
At last night’s dinner, Christopher Ga-Ga and Robert sat on the same side of the dining room table. Thus, they didn’t see each other and Robert, for one, concentrated on the eating aspect of dinnertime. Christopher probably also ate somewhat more productively.
However, Christopher finished with his dinner first. Then he went about trying to play with Robert while Robert was still eating. Watch how skillfully Christopher attracts Robert’s attention!

From Brian: Maia, Kati, and Lainey visited yesterday and this morning thanks to their mommy, so everyone had lots of fun. Below is a cute photo of Kati and Lainey playing with Robert.
One of the fun moments was when Lainey rode Robert’s lion toy into the kitchen. It was neat because her family had given Robert the lion for his birthday. Below are some photos of Granddad assembling the lion with the girls around as well as Vickie Goo-Goo looking on.
(I hadn’t blogged these photos previously, so I’ll go back and post them after the fact around the date that they were taken.)
From Brian: Yesterday, Mommy and Robert went to My Gym to play.
Above are some photos of Robert having a lot of fun riding the dolphin swing from last Thursday, his trip to My Gym before yesterday. Below are is one of his favorite activities there: Pulling up and then pushing over foam columns!
As above, he might spot one leaning on the ground. Then he might pick it up…
Then push it over!
Then he might move onto another one:

From Brian: Yesterday morning, Robert began attending a new playgroup–one for his slightly older age–along with Christopher Ga-Ga! Mommy took both boys there and they had fun.
Below are photos of them having a snack.
The boys had fun together. Here they are drawing:
And here’s Robert doing his best Darth Vader impression:
It was a successful outing and these photos are so cute!
Afterward, all returned to Arlene Goo-Goo’s and Uncle James’ house for a celebration of Timothy. However, Robert seems more interested in the balloon than the baby.

Of course, Robert’s always loved balloons. Here are great photos from 13 months ago that I love (from https://beanieblog.wordpress.com/2008/12/19/bouncey-chair-and-balloon/):
From Brian: Robert’s loves Elmo. He occasionally demands to see Elmo, and we sometimes placate him by playing an Elmo video on YouTube. On Sunday morning, Granddad was helping Robert watch Elmo! Below are a video (which you can watch directly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN5KzhaW27o) and more photos:
Also, here we are trying to distract Robert with Elmo’s Song on my Treo after a water spill at the Fog City Diner on Saturday night:
