Monthly Archives: November 2009
From Brian: Our Canon 870IS digital camera is having problems. It doesn’t always turn on and the navigation buttons are degrading. I just get a new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 and I haven’t spent a lot of time with it. Above is a photo from tonight. Below is a photo from last month with the old camera under similar circumstances. Both photos are blurry because Robert wouldn’t stop moving!
Finally, here is a bonus photo of my reading to Robert:
From Brian: The only time you’ll ever get to see Robert’s hair combed and straight is immediately after his nightly bath. Here are two photos, so enjoy!
From Brian: Yesterday, for Thanksgiving Day, we went to Yeah-Yeah and Ngen-Ngen’s house for lunch. There were lots of family members in attendence. It was fun, but Robert was sleepy and cranky. Fortunately, he fell asleep on the way home.
I left our camera at Yeah-Yeah and Ngen-Ngen’s, so I can’t post any pictures now. We hope that you are having a great Thanksgiving Weekend!
From Brian: Mommy, Robert, and I joined Ben, Shannon, Megan, Collin, Kellianne, and Nigel on a walk on the Golden Gate Bridge today! The weather was very pleasant and Robert played with and laughed at Megan most of the time! Afterward, we all enjoyed a late lunch at a pub at Ghirardelli Square, and then I told Robert home for a nap.
From Jen: A little background first. Robert has a small space heater in his room that is what we refer to as a “no touchy”. He’s generally good about it and it’s only on when he’s trapped in his crib. Anyway…
This afternoon I was in the kitchen and Robert was in his room. I heard “Uh-Oh” (his new favorite phrase). Then I heard running down the hall and him repeating “Uh-Oh, Uh-Oh”. When he got to the kitchen he looked at me and said “Uh-Oh”. I said “What’s ‘Uh-Oh’? Show me”. So, he led me to his room and pointed to the heater, which was now on.
I laughed “Thanks for showing me. No touchy please!” He then shook his finger at me to indicate that he understood that he wasn’t supposed to touch.
I love my son!
From Jen: Yesterday we went to the Vans store at Stonestown Galleria and bought Robert a new pair of everyday sneakers. His first pair (seen below) were given to him by my cousin Allison and my Aunt Jacque at his baby shower and have served us extremely well. It makes me a little sad to say goodbye to them (silly, I know).
From Brian: Yesterday, I blogged about how much Robert enjoys dinner with both his parents. Breakfast, however, is almost always an event shared only between Robert and I (because his mommy is usually enjoying extra sleepy time).
Common breakfasts are a single banana, sliced into semicircles. Often, the banana-eating is interrupted by his wanting to eat whatever I’m eating or any leftovers in the refrigerator when he wants a change of pace.
Below is a fun breakfast-time video!
