From Jen: Sorry we haven’t posted in so long. Sometimes life gets in the way.
So, the title of this blog refers to the fact that Memorial Day weekend was spent in Southern California with visits to both the King and Haunstein grandparents and the following weekend brought a gathering of the Pons. Here are some photos to commemorate all the fun!
First up, the King grandparents. Robert had a ball crawling all over their house and following Grandma Pam wherever she went.
After picking Brian up at the airport (Jen and Robert went south Wednesday, Brian joined us Friday) and before heading to see the Hauenstein grandparents, we had dinner at a restaurant in Burbank with Grandpa, Grandma Pam, Auntie Jamie and Cousin Andrew:
Next up to the “spoil the baby” plate are the Hauenstein grandparents:
We had lots of fun in Santa Clarita. Robert got to spend lots of time with Grandma and Grandad.
Angela, Brian, and their daughter Samantha, neighbors and friends of Grandma and Grandad, lent Robert a swing and a high chair for the weekend:
I don’t know how much Robert liked it, but we all loved watching him have his bath in the sink.
When we had friends over for a barbeque on Sunday, Robert took his first dip in the pool (well, the spa) with our friends Erinn, Hannah and Brady.
For some reason, Robert loved napping on the floor of the den.
As with all good things, our visit came to an end. Here’s a couple of cute pics from the ride home.
The following Saturday, we got together with the Pon grandparents (who have been away at fairs). We were joined by Brian’s sisters and their kids as well.
