From Daddy: Thursday night was tough for Robert. He cried–sad and frightened–in bed (and later we brought him to the living room) with his eyes closed for a very long time. We think that he had a very bad nightmare and couldn’t wake up for a while. Finally Mommy roused him awake and he wanted to snuggle for “five minutes.” Then we put him to bed in our bed.
Later, he repeated with a lesser version of the night terrors and almost unconsciously wriggled himself out of bed. Poor Robert!
Last night, we drove down to visit Grandma Carol for her birthday. During the second leg of the drive, he cried a few times in his sleepiness, possibly due to the discomfort of having grown a bit big for sleeping easily in his car seat.
He was all smiles this morning though, asking Mommy how he got here when he woke up. He had some quality play time with Grandma this morning. Here’s a video of their batting practice:
